Why renewable?

The current model of energy production based on fossil fuels is unsustainable both because of the depletion of natural resources and because of its strong environmental impact.
Power plants can be considered as the main sources of pollution.
Responsibility towards future generations compels us to take the necessary measures regarding this problem: generating energy through renewable sources is not only possible but also necessary. Taking advantage of the sun and the wind, ever-developing technological advances allow us to produce our energy respecting the environment.
The greenhouse effect

The greenhouse effect

The intense carbon dioxide production (CO2) from the combustion of fossil fuels together with the progressive accumulation of this compound in the atmosphere increase the "greenhouse effect" and therefore affect global climate change. If the current volume of emissions of CO2 is maintained, experts estimate that global temperature could increase by 4.8° C during the twenty-first century. Climate changes will increase and cause natural events such as floods, desertification, fusion and the increase of the oceans’ level to intensify. Many ecosystems will change radically, and the alteration of meteorological models will cause disruptions in food production. One can expect a migration of millions of "environmental refugees" given the economic impact in many regions and the subsequent social crisis. Water supply will decrease and diseases will spread. It is foreseeable that the greatest impact will be felt in less-developed nations.
